The shortest version of all
9punto5 is an inclusive and professional conference where we look after a friendly, harmonious and safe environment. Have you noticed how at some events everyone ends up talking about “that person” who gave one or more attendees a hard time? Don’t be that person.
That means:
- Saying no to harassment and discrimination.
- Being kind and courteous to everyone, without an offensive or belligerent attitude.
All attendees, speakers, volunteers and sponsors of the events supported by 9punto5, as well as everyone who takes part and interacts on any of its platforms and social networks, agree to follow and respect our code of conduct.
The organizers will always ensure that what is set out here is followed and respected. No exceptions of any kind will be made.
In every 9punto5 activity, as well as on any of the platforms we use (Slack, social networks, etc.), we seek to create a safe space and a harassment-free experience. Everyone is welcome regardless of gender, race, nationality, sexual orientation, abilities, appearance and beliefs. We do not tolerate harassment of any kind, in any form or context, direct or indirect. Any participant who violates these rules will be expelled from 9punto5.
What counts as harassment?
Physical or verbal abuse related to a person’s gender, sexual orientation, abilities, gender, physical appearance, level of knowledge, race or religious beliefs. In addition, creating or displaying sexual images in public spaces, physical or verbal intimidation, stalking, rude interruptions of talks, or inappropriate physical contact.
Measures
9punto5 reserves the right to ask for any behavior related to the above to stop immediately. In addition, anyone who violates this code of conduct will be expelled from 9punto5 activities and channels.
If necessary, 9punto5 will contact the relevant authorities and provide any assistance needed to remedy the situation.
Let’s make 9punto5 a safe space together
We take this VERY seriously. If you see ANY improper behavior by any conference participant, approach the organizing team, who will be clearly identified.
We are a safe community that values diversity and takes care to create a safe space. If you do not agree with this, you should not take part in our activities and channels.
