Kieran Klaassen
GM of Cora · Every.to
Kieran Klaassen works on the frontier team at Every, an applied AI lab, figuring out what's next for AI and coding. He created Compound Engineering, a plugin thousands of developers use to teach AI coding agents how they work so that every task makes the next one easier. He also builds Cora, Every's AI-native email client, and other tools. Kieran has been VP of Engineering at several companies, writes about building with AI for Every, and lives in San Diego, California, by way of the Netherlands. His mission is to help people become more human with AI, augmented by it rather than replaced.

Intro to Compound Engineering
Most people use AI coding agents one task at a time, and they start from zero every time. Compound Engineering flips that. In this hands-on workshop, Kieran Klaassen, creator of the open-source Compound Engineering plugin used by thousands of developers, walks you through a simple loop: brainstorm, plan, build, review, and then capture what you learned. Each lesson is written down where your agent can read it next time, so every task makes the next one easier. You'll install the plugin in Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, run the loop on a real task, and leave with a workflow that gets better the more you use it.
Teach AI, Grow Yourself
Everyone's worried AI will replace them. I think the opposite happens when you teach it how you work. Every lesson compounds, the machine takes the repeatable work, and you grow into the part only you can do.
